CCEE1613 Eiffel Tower Day

Bonjour, It is Challenge day with a French theme on CCEE Stampers Blog today.

According to the Days of the Year web site today is Eiffel Tower Day. So for our challenge this week let's celebrate all things Parisian …. It could be the Eiffel Tower, French Poodle; Berets; Champagne; Red, White & Blue Color Combo etc.

I am thinking of my daughter who is currently living in the England and is planing a holiday to Paris, it is hard when they are so far away and you miss them so much.

I friend recently showed me an idea when you have the most glorious designer paper but it is a bit thin to create a pivot card. Just fold the paper in half and using double sided tape the same width as the paper just stick the two halves together before die cutting.

I have used the Katie Pivot die for this card but you could use any pivot die for the same effect.
The Eiffel Tower on the front had been foam mounted and painted with the wink of Stella clear glitter pen. I also added the wink of Stella glitter to the images in the pivot panels.

Supplies:
Karen Burniston designs
Katie Label pivot card
Eiffel Tower pop stand
Penny Black, stamp set thinking of you, Copic pends, Wink of Stella glitter pen. foam tape.

C4C329 - Celebrate

Welcome to another Crazy 4 Challenges challenge. Frances is back with our final challenge of the month.

According to the Days of the Year web site the 26th March is Purple Day.  Purple Day is a celebration aimed at raising worldwide awareness of epilepsy, a condition that affects over 65 million people globally. For our challenge this week include the color purple in your creations.

Today I have managed to tick off another card that I have been wanting to make since I saw the idea in December 2014. A explosion pop up card. You can see Karen's birthday explosion on this link .

After die cutting the pop up cake and trimming it like Karen does in her tutorial, I cut out the embellishments added the double sided tape and micro fine glitter and coloured the pieces with copic pens.
I made stickers out of the die cut words by adding double sided tape on the back before die cutting.

A Close up of the cake, I covered card stock with double sided tape, then die cut the embellishment pieces and added the silk micro fine glitter and coloured some pieces with purple copic pens, and used foil card for the cake stand.

Here is the front of the card, I didn't have those small magnets that Karen used and anything that I had wasn't strong enough, so I attached a ribbon to keep the card closed.

Supplies:
Karen Burniston designs
Cake pop up
Ring pull edges
Micro fine glitter - cool diamond
Suzanne Cannon Quietfire designs Celebrate & Happy Birthday

Owl takes the cake

On CCEE stampers Blog Hostess Frances has a special challenge for us.

As today is my birthday let's create a card that includes the things I love … owls and cards that pop up; flip or pull open; accordion style etc. Any type of construction style card will do anything goes but preferably not a flat card this week.

I have been wanting to try making a card with stencils and glitter since I saw Karen Burniston's tutorial last month. I had the glitter in my supplies but the stencil is still on the wish list so I had to go with another stencil, but I love this look. The owl and hearts are peel off stickers that I applied micro fine glitter too and coloured it with copic pens.

On the inside I used the cake pop up to make this glitter cake, the ring pull edges on the top and bottom and the Suzanne Cannon Quietfire designs happy birthday in gold.

I will be giving this card to Frances on her birthday, shades of sparkly blue, pop up and with a owl all her favourite things, I think it ticks all the boxes. Happy Birthday Frances.

Feathered Friends

The Challenges continue on CCEE Stampers Blog today.

Saturday is Poultry Day. So let's be inspired by Poultry when creating our cards this week… Chickens; Ducks; Turkeys; Geese; Emus; Ostriches etc or Eggs. As Easter is just over a week away, you could create an Easter card but this is optional. Bonus points if you  include Green on your card to celebrate St Patricks Day which is today.

I used some stamps sets and some dies to create a friendship card after all Girlfriends are always sharing things. A corset may just be the thing I need after enjoying St Patricks day goodies.

Supplies:
Stamps:
Art Impressions
Bird Brains - Feathered friends, Corset Birdie
Girlfriends - Thick and Thin,Weight watchers points
Elizabeth Craft Designs
Lorna Label pop up
Spellbinders speech bubble.

C4C327 pi maths pie

Join us for Pi Maths Pie challenges on Crazy for Challenges blog.

Monday is Pi Day (Ï€) which is an annual celebration which occurs every March 14th (3/14 in month/day format) Pi (Greek letter “Ï€”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.  For our challenge this week let's create cards that feature circles and / or pies!

I recently purchased some new Elizabeth Craft Designs - Karen Burniston designed dies, that I couldn't wait to try.
I used Baker the Beaver, he is so cute just love him. I then cut the top layer from the cake in the props 8 set and gave it a silk miro- fine glitter filling.

The base card was cut using the oval landscape accordion die and the Flourish gift frame and the Trellis wavy frame
Because you could see the backside of Beaver when you opened the card I added another beaver to hide the frame in between.
The stamped sentiments are stampendous clear stamps.

Here is a back view and this is pretty cool, the card folds flat and is ready for posting.

CCEE1610 - Appleseed

Today is challenge day with my friends on CCEE Stampers, Frances contuines with the Challenges for this month.

Tomorrow is National Johnny Appleseed Day …. So let's feature apples on our card creations this month.

This was a tricky challenge for me I have a few pear stamps but no apples, while I was searching I found this horse image well horses love apples, right! A search through my designer paper supplies unearthed this apple paper.
I coloured the image with copic pens and sponged the image edges while it was still in the circle die. I placed the circles on the designer paper so I could see a whole apples and balanced the images with the bow at the bottom.

C4C326 Umbrella

Welcome to another month of Challenges with the Crazies team.
Frances is the hostess and Sandy Diller is our guest designer for this month.

Did you know that March was National Umbrella Month. This marvelous invention which helps prevent us from getting wet on those rainy days or can keep us sheltered from that sun was invented over four thousand years ago … wow!  Let's celebrate the umbrella this week by including one on our cards this week … it could be an umbrella to stop the rain, parasol or beach umbrella.

For my card I used Stampendous image  Rain Dance, the Cheery Lynn  Tropical Flourish, and the Umbrella from Elizabeth Craft Designs Rainy Day. The umbrella is die cut from the reverse side of the background designer, I also added some liquid glass to resemble water droplets randomly over the background.
